New music to be released ahead of fourth album
Gorillaz will release new music tonight, it has been announced.
Damon Albarn's virtual band have been teasing at new material for months, with new art-work on Twitter and a single, 'Hallelujah Money' with Benjamin Clementine, being released on inauguration day.
Last weekend, a tracklist was leaked on the bands subreddit, increasing rumours that the project's long-awaited fourth studio album is nearing release.
Yesterday BBC Radio 1 announced that they would "premiere brand new music from Gorillaz" on Mistajam's show at 7:30 UK time.
Mistajam confirmed the news this morning on Twitter, saying "Tonight, for the first time in the world you're going to hear TWO new tracks from the Gorillaz at 7:30"

The band have also announced they will host their very own music festival, Demon Dayz, at Margate's Dreamland amusement park, with the line up to be announced shortly.
Jamie Hewlett, the man behind the quirky cartoon style Gorillaz has become known for, confirmed the record will be released later this year, adding that they will not rush the recording process as the album will be "really fucking special".
