This year’s Jameson Dublin International Film Festival has a real rock 'n' roll flavour with The Frames, Ginger Baker and Marina Abramovic coming under the spotlight.
Bigged up in these very pages last year by John Lydon, Beware Of Mr. Baker is a celebration of the life and manic times of Cream legend Ginger Baker. Along with Mr. Lydon, Charlie Watts, Stuart Copeland and Lars Ulrich pay their drummerly respects.
Expect the ‘house full’ signs to also go up for The Frames: In The Deep Shade, Conor Masterson’s fabulous delve into Glen Hansard and the chaps’ world.
Antony Hegarty stars alongside theatre director Robert Wilson and actor Willem Dafoe in The Life And Death Of Marina Abramovic, an experimental opera featuring the titular performance artist.
