The Waterford man will make two appearances at the Somerset festival in June
Gilbert O’Sullivan’s musical rehabilitation gathers apace with the Waterford man making a June 29 appearance alongside the likes of The Verve, Leonard Cohen and Goldfrapp on the main Glastonbury Pyramid Stage.
The previous day also finds him headlining the Acoustic Tent with Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova second on the bill.
Also flying the flag are Sinéad O’Connor, Camille O’Sullivan and Eleanor McEvoy (June 27 @ The Acoustic Tent); The Script (27 @ The Queen’s Head); Fight Like Apes (27 @ The Late And Live Stage); Roisin Murphy (27 @ Dance Village East); Jape and Eugene McGuinness (28 @ The Park Stage); Annie Mac (28 @ The Queen’s Head); and Foy Vance (29 @ The Acoustic Tent).
Da Apes are appearing at 8pm on Friday June 27 as part of a UK tour designed to pique interest in their debut album, which follows in September on new Irish imprint Model Citizen.
As previously revealed in Hot Press, the as-yet-untitled collection is being produced by Los Campesinos, Bikini Kill and Sleater-Kinney man John Goodmanson.
