Elton John's concert at the O2, Dublin this coming Friday, October 30 has been postponed.
Elton, aged 62, had to cancel concerts last week in Sheffield and Liverpool because of flu, but had hoped that his symptoms would have abated to enable him to play Dublin. But his doctors have advised him not to perform.
A spokesman for Elton said "He is bitterly disappointed not to be playing Dublin. He had picked Dublin to close the Red Piano worldwide because of the great warmth of the people and the great concerts he had in the city over many years. He is hoping to reschedule the dates in the very near future.” Aiken Promotions say they are hoping to re-schedule the Dublin concert for a suitable date in December 2009.
