Their fifth LP, In Dream, is out October 2.
Reason to be cheerful when the cold weather sets in (thought in fairness it's already pretty nippy in mid-July): Editors have announced their plans to release their latest long-player this autumn.
You can get your grubby mitts on In Dream, their fifth full-length studio effort, from October 2.
The Brummie lot will then embark on a European tour, kicking off on these shores. They play Belfast's Limelight on Friday October 9 and The Olympia Theatre, Dublin, on Saturday October 10.
We've already heard 'No Harm' and 'Marching Orders' from In Dream (the trailer for which is below).
Recorded in Crear in the Western Highlands by the band, and mixed in London by Alan Moulder, In Dream is the second album to feature the "new" line-up of the band with Justin Lockey and Elliott Williams firmly in place alongside founding members Tom Smith, Russell Leetch and Ed Lay. After two years of global touring, the five piece incarnation used the new album to stretch the Editors sound, swerving away from the rock dynamic of last album The Weight Of Your Love and marking a return to a writing process influenced by electronic music.
