'Sing' has appeared online.
Debuted on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show last night, Ed Sheeran's latest single is now streaming online for the world to hear. 'Sing' is taken from the songwriter's forthcoming album X (he loves an enigmatic album title, does Ed), due out June 20.
'Sing' was produced by Pharrell Williams in Jungle City Studios in New York.
“Pharrell really pushes you and wants you to do the best thing possible," Sheeran says. "So you don’t go for the first thing he plays… Pharrell must have been on about his 17th idea when he played me this beat. I don’t really get jazz chords and this felt like one of them. Instinctively, I dismissed it, but I had a guitar in my hand and started playing that riff absent-mindedly. From that moment, I was playing that song and… we just pieced it all together.”
