The flame-haired troubadour jumps straight in at the top-spot.
Much loved ginger sex-symbol Ed Sheeran has once again topped the Irish singles chart with 'Sing' the lead single off his upcoming full-length x. The L.P was recorded in Los Angeles under the watchful eye of world-famous production guru Rick Rubin. If the runaway success of Sing is anything to go by, one would have to speculate x is going to be one of the biggest records of the summer. Sheeran's domination of the chart drives soul crooner John Legend down from No.1 into second place.
Sheeran isn't the only new arrival making an impression at the upper echelons on the chart though. Local boys, The Coronas, have arrived straight in at No.3 with their latest single All The Others. All The Others is another radio-ready belter from the Dublin four-piece and is sure to build anticipation for the September release of their as of yet untitled new album.
Elsewhere in the top 10 things have taken on a decidedly Eurovision informed complexion. Dutch entry The Common Linnets have jumped from No.50 in last week's chart all the way up to No.4 despite only having secured second place on the night of the competition. The eventual winner of this year's Eurovision, Conchita Wurst, enters into our chart at No.10 with her entry Rise Like Phoenix.

All in all, another major week for new entries and it remains to be seen how long it will take for Eurovision fever to loosen it's grip on the national psyche.
