ESB Feis Ceoil, which is Ireland’s premier classical music competition, will run from March 27 – April 7 at the RDS with over 180 competitions. “It’s just pure performance and pure enjoyment. The audience is blown away, "says Laura Gilsenan, CEO of ESB Feis Ceoil.
The annual Gala Concert will see the National Concert Hall stage filled with the sound of young Irish musicians playing violin, piano, cello, trumpet and singing, with brilliant music from choirs and orchestras. The concert will feature aselection of exceptional young musicians who were awarded prizes at this year's competitions, including:

Aileen Gore winner,cellist Sinéad O'Halloran
Dramatic Cup winner, Bass Baritone Robert McAllister

Senior Brass Recital winner, trumpeter John Kerr
Gervase Elwes Cup winner, Soprano Sarah Brady

Over half a million musicians have competed in Ireland’s premier classical music competition since it began in 1896, with past competitors including James Joyce and Count John McCormack and more recently, John O’Conor, Finghin Collins, Regina Nathan, Cara O’Sullivan and Céline Byrne.
