Doyle, better known as the former guitarist of horror punk architects, Misfits, is set take his ‘As We Die World Abomination Tour’ to Dublin this summer
Founded in 2013, Doyle is the eponymous project of Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, which also features Alex Story of Cancerslug on vocals. With two full-lengths to their name - Abominator (2013) and Doyle II: As We Die (2017) - they take their world-tour to Rathmines’ live-venue, The Bowery.
There has been a number of personnel changes since their last tour in 2015. Following the exit of drummer Anthony “Tiny” Biuso, the band replaced him with Brandon Pertzborn, a previous tour drummer for Black Flag. “Left Hand” Graham was also replaced for the 2015 tour and the band instated DieTrich Thrall on bass.
Younger brother of Misfits co-founder, Jerry Only, Doyle rejoined his the band for the first time in 33 years in 2016, the band reuniting for two headlining shows at the Riot Fest in Chicago and Denver.
Expect some elements of Misfits’ famed blistering punk as well as heavy-metal, which this project has allowed Doyle to venture further towards with recent releases.
