The popular website has been forced to remove the popular personal ad section in the USA because of a new law coming into play.
Called FOSTA, the new law will makes it illegal for websites to host adverts or personal adverts from prostitutes. It's about to be signed into law by US President Donald Trump.
The new FOSTA law imposes strong penalties for those who "promote or facilitate the prostitution of another person".
"Any tool or service can be misused. We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day," Craiglist announced.
Craiglist added: "To the millions of spouses, partners, and couples who met through craigslist, we wish you every happiness."
