The still-Thin White Duke brings his 'A Reality Tour' to The Point
David Bowie fans are in for an early Christmas present on November 22 when the still-Thin White Duke brings his 'A Reality Tour' to The Point.
Although not the unashamed 'Greatest Hits' package he was peddling in 2002, he'll be drawing on every phase of his five-decade career. Er, with the possible exception of 'The Laughing Gnome'!
Commenting on why he's back on the road again so soon, Bowie enthuses: "Last year's shows were such a tremendous high and the audiences so responsive. My band is playing at the top of its form right now and it would be foolish not to play a tour this year while we're in such good spirits about the live show aspects of our work."
Tickets go on sale on Friday June 20 priced between €56.50 and €65, which compares favourably with other recent superstar visits.
As a bonus, each ticket includes a free three-month membership to BowieNet, the "online community" that's personally overseen by the Jones boy. Among other special offers, members can purchase Liveandwell, a 2CD set of music from the Outside tour and remixes from artists like Moby and Danny Saber. You'll also be able to exclusive previews from his Reality album which hits the racks in early October.
