The Scottish synth-pop group have enlisted the vocals of Hayley Williams for their latest track, 'Bury It'
Frontwoman of Paramore, Hayley Williams has had considerable independent success from collaborations with Zedd and BoB.
This time she's lending her distinguished vocals to CHVRCHES and Williams breathes a new lease of life into the 'Bury It' single. The song opens with CHVRCHES vocalist Lauren Mayberry and is followed up by Williams' verse and the two make quite the impressionable singing duo.
Mayberry gushed at the opportunity of working with long-time inspiration Williams; “We are all big fans of Paramore – musically, and in terms of the ethos of the band and the way they connect with their fanbase – but I also hugely admire Hayley as a vocalist and lyricist,” Mayberry admitted, "It always feels like she puts so much of herself into her music and that’s something we aspire to as well. Hayley is such a unique voice and having her be a part of something Chvrches wrote is incredibly exciting!'"
This fan-girling admiration was mutual as Williams was more than willing to collaborate with the Scottish trio; “It’s been the coolest getting to know Chvrches after having been a fan of the band for a while. When they came to Nashville last year and we talked about hanging at their show, on the inside I was like, ‘Please please ask me to sing with you?’.”
The revised edition of 'Bury It' is taken from CHVRCHES' second studio album, Every Open Eye.
