One Direction fail to dislodge the Swedish DJ from top spot in the Irish singles chart...
One Direction's new track, the boldly titled 'Best Song Ever', has shot straight in at No. 2 in the Irish singles chart.
But the Irish buying public have obviously dissented from the central thesis of the song and 'Wake Me Up' from Avicii remains at No. 1 for a 4th successive week.
Meanwhile, in the album chart, there is little change at the top as Michael Buble, recent visitor to the O2, stays at No. 1 with 'To Be Loved.'
The boys from Swords, Kodaline, are nestled in behind him as 'In A Perfect World' continues to sell well.
And currently engaged in a rip-roaring tour across the southern half of the country, Bruce Springsteen monopolises the 3rd, 4th and 5th positions in the album charts. His most recent album 'Wrecking Ball' sits in 4th spot being sandwiched between two of the Boss's greatest hits compilations
