Christy Dignam and co. will be back in action in March
Following a pair of sold-out shows in Vicar Street in the past week, Aslan have announced a St Patrick's spectacular for The Olympia Theatre.
The annual knees-up is a thing of legend, and given they showed no sign of ring rust on Thomas Street over the festive period, there's no fear of this year's renewal not living up to expectation.
A full twenty years since they were crowned Most Promising Band by this very publication, the Dublin quartet are still one of the most thrilling live propositions in Irish music, and while Christy Dignam's battles with ill-health might have sidelined him for a period, he remains one of the most engaging and iconic frontmen in the business.
Building up towards the show, the band said: “We are delighted to be doing the Olympia on March 16th as there were a lot of people who could not get tickets for our Sold Out shows in Vicar St. They now have a chance to catch us live.”
Tickets for the March 16 show are on sale now, priced at €32.50.
