The Ash singer goes ahead with show despite an arm infection
Ash's Tim Wheeler had to be taken to hospital on Wednesday when his arm suddenly swelled up.
"I got an infection in my arm," he explains. "I had a scrape on it last week that was pretty innocuous really. I didn't think anything was wrong.
"Then about two days ago we were rehearsing and it started swelling up. The outside was filling up with fluid and I couldn't move my arm. It was really painful.
"They rushed me to hospital and I spent all night there on a penicillin drip, which totally brought the swelling down and now I can move my arm.
"They also gave me loads of ibuprofen to take away the pain," he concludes, "so I'm really dosed up, man!"
Trooper that he is, Wheeler was present and correct last night for a triple-header in Manchester with Hot Hot Heat and The Rain Band.
As exclusively revealed on hotpress.com, Ash join Robbie Williams for his Phoenix Park extravaganzas in August. Prior to that there's the small matter of a headlining American tour and the release of their Slashed horror flick.
