Conor Murphy, from Kerry, is behind Win Butler backing new Haiti coffee brand RaRa.
Set to launch in February, RaRa coffee is a new Haitian brand with all profits going straight to healthcare provider Haiti Coffee Academy and Partners in Health. It is also decidedly rock 'n' roll, thanks to the efforts of one man from Kerry.
Conor Murphy, who works for coffee roasters La Colombe Torrefaction, persuaded Arcade Fire's Win Butler to support the new charity coffee.
Butler has commented online: "Being in the mountains of Haiti, it is hard not to think about coffee. The elevation, the sunshine, the soil, and incredible people, who have been growing the plant on tiny family plots for centuries. Haiti is buzzing with potential and possibility, and coffee can be an important part of its rebirth!"
