Leaders of Men Scoop Top Prize in Guinness Arthur's Day – Play On The Day Competition!

Dublin band Leaders of Men emerged as winners of the Guinness Arthur's Day – Play On The Day competition, with Hot Press and RTÉ 2fm. After a superb final, in a packed Roisin Dubh in Galway, the winners were announced amid celebratory scenes of high excitement.

Less than a week later, the band took to the Main Stage at the Guinness Brewery Storehouse, supporting Stereophonics, Paolo Nutini and Yasmin, to help the assembled throngs celebrate Arthur's Day,

The winner's prize also includes musical instruments worth over €10,000 from Fender, Yamaha and Walton's.

Fans traveled from across the country to support the bands, who hailed from Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Donegal.

Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters, Leaders Of Men, Zombie Computer, Mojo GoGo all treated the packed audience to blistering sets in the Roisin Dubh, Galway.

The other Regional Winners – Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters, Mojo GoGo and Zombie Computer – also featured in the Arthur's Day line-up.

After much deliberation, RTÉ 2fm DJ Cormac Battle announced Leaders of Men as winners of the Guinness Arthur’s Day – Play On The Day competition.

As part of their prize package, Leaders Of Men also received:
• A full three-day recording session with a senior Record Producer, in RTÉ studios
• A label to release the single with no strings attached.
• A place for a band member/manager on Hot Press' MIX course including consultation with industry experts
• €4,000 worth of Guitars from FENDER
• €4,000 worth of Drums & Keyboards from YAMAHA
• €3,000 Gift Voucher from WALTON'S MUSIC
