The producers of The Harry Potter Film Concert Series have announced that the second installment of the series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Concert, will make its Dublin premiere on December 6th, 2017, at 3Arena.
On December 6th, 2017, at the 3Arena, fans of the Harry Potter series will have the opportunity to experience the movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in a new way. The movie will be projected, in high-definition, onto a 60-foot screen as a live orchestra plays every single note of the original film soundtrack composed by award-winning film composer, John Williams. Tickets are available now from ticketmaster.ie.
The film, which follows Harry Potter’s second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, was released in 2002, and quickly became one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
The concert series is being put on by CineConcerts, an organization that has done live performances of the soundtrack of the first Harry Potter movie as well as the soundtracks for Gladiator, The Godfather, It’s a Wonderful Life, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and many others.
The orchestra will be conducted by acclaimed conductor and president of CineConcerts, Justin Freer. Mr. Freer has already conducted performances by some of the world’s most renowned orchestras including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, and New York Philharmonic.
Commenting on the upcoming concert series, Mr. Freer said: “It is incredibly exciting to think that audiences will be able to relive the magic of the second film while listening to the award-winning music score played live by an orchestra.”
