The Game's eighth studio album is an ode to the rapper's childhood growing up in Compton.
Put his beef with Meek Mills and his constant Instagram posts aside for a second, The Game is still making some of the hottest rap music out there today. Fresh off of composing two soundtrack albums earlier this year, he released his newest album this morning, which recounts the personal experiences of the 12 year old Jayceon Taylor (The Game).
This isn’t the first time some of the rapper’s fans will be hearing his eighth studio album. Earlier this month, The Game posted the record in its entirety on his YouTube page, before promptly removing the songs with no explanation. Now, fans can listen to all 13 tracks on Spotify.
The album tells stories of inner city youth and The Game pays homage to the rap artists who have inspired him, with 'I Grew Up on Wu Tang' and 'All Eyez' referencing the Wu Tang Clan and Tupac Shakur.
