Winners of Play On The Day – North for Dan Hegarty Show

Mojo Gogo, the winners of the North Region in the Arthur's Day - Play On TheDay competition, run by Hot Press and RTÉ 2fm, in association with Arthur Guinness, have completed arrangements for the recording session that was part of their prize. Their 2fm session will be heard for the first time on the Dan Hegarty Show on RTÉ 2fm, at 11pm on Monday November 28.

The sessions were recorded in RTE's studios in Montrose.

Earlier this year, the highly-rated Donegal contenders recorded an EP, Cheats, Chicks and Powders under the production guiding-hand of ex-Cactus World News guitar man Frank Kearns of Salt Studios. The three track EP was mastered by the legendary hit-maker Richard Dowling.

The band were formed just a year ago, in November 2010, and have made remarkable progress in the meantime, including appearing in Belfast as part of the Arthur's Day celebrations.
