Paddy Casey scotches rumours that he has left Sony Music and Principle Management. "I can understand people thinking it," says Paddy, "but no, they're still on board"
Paddy Casey has quashed rumours that he’s parted company with both Sony Music and Principle Management.
Talking exclusively to hotpress, Casey says: “I can understand people thinking it because I haven’t had anything out for two years but, no, they’re still on board and telling me to pull my finger out and finish the new album!”
Which is coming out when?
“Before the end of the year, or I’m going to sell my guitar and move to Asia!” he laughs. “No, I’ve recorded 60 or 70 songs, which I’m currently whittling down. I’m or more less decided now, but there may be a few last minute additions!”
Has he given Paul McGuinness a listen yet?

“I play him stuff from time to time, and he lets me know which ones he likes. The person who used to look after me at Principle’s left to go to a record company, so they’re just sorting out who’s taking over from her.”
One song that’s definitely going to be on the album is new single ‘Family Tree’.
“I wanted to put something out to coincide with the shows we’ve been playing, and let people know I’m still out there,” Casey concludes. “I did it with Johnny Rock Star – not his real name, I suspect – who’s worked with Sugababes.”
