The shock-rocker thinks Little Victories deserved a nomination
It comes as no surprise to us that shock-rocker Alice Cooper is a huge fan of Irish band The Strypes.
He stopped to tell Billboard before the Grammys:
“It's so hard to find albums anymore. There's a band called The Strypes from Ireland; 18-year-old kids that sound like The Yardbirds and The Small Faces combined. They didn't get nominated for anything, but it's the best record I've heard all year."
The record in question is The Strype’s second album Little Victories which they released last year.
It't not the first time Alice Cooper had good things to say about the young rock band; he previously called them "the most authentic sounding rock band that I've heard in 20 years".
Cooper himself was performing at the Grammy’s as part of Johnny Depp’s supergroup The Hollywood Vampires.
