At SXSW this year there was a tribute to the late Lou Reed, who passed in 2013.

Among the acts performing at the tribute gig were Ireland’s very own Strypes, who accompanied BP Fallon in a rendition of the classic ‘Vicious’.

Alejandro Escovedo, Lucinda Williams, Spandau Ballet, Chuck Prophet, the Black Lips, Suzanne Vega and Sean Lennon were among the artists at the first full-scale tribute to Lou Reed since his death.

It was a colossal evening for those there.
