Set to return for a third series in January 2014, RTÉ hit The Voice of Ireland is now accepting applications, with a recording contract from Universal Records up for grabs for the eventual winner.

If you think you have what it takes, you can apply online through [link]www.rte.ie/thevoice[/link] by submitting an MP3 recording, video or Youtube clip, Soundcloud or any digital format that showcases your voice. The deadline for applications is Tuesday September 3. All applicants must be aged 18 or over.

Though the coaches have yet to be confirmed, Kathryn Thomas is set to reprise her role as host.

“I’m delighted the Voice is back for its third season," she says. "There is so much musical talent in this country, I have no doubt the standards are going to be even higher this time round. I'd encourage anybody who is even half thinking about entering to stop thinking and just do it.

"This is a huge platform for any artist. The coaches line up will be interesting too. There are so many rumours flying around about who is returning and who's not. Either way, I can't wait to get stuck in.”
