Villagers go straight to No.1 on album chart

Villagers top the Irish album chart this week, as their sophomore effort {Awayland} – which has been the subject of many a listen here at Hot Press.com – enters the chart at No. 1.

Oscar-nominated Les Misérables Original Motion Picture Cast is also a new entry on the Irish album chart this week, checking in at No.2.

Last weeks No.1 + by Ed Sheeran is down two places to No.3, still impressive for an album that was released well over a year ago.

Four-time Brit Award nominee Emile Sandé remains at No.4 this week with Our Version Of Events, while Rihanna's Unapologetic falls three places to No.5.

One Direction, The Lumineers, Taylor Swift, Pink and Bruno Mars make up the top ten.

Other new entries on the chart include Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky at No.31 with Long.Live.A$AP, and Manchester's Everything Everything at No.37 with Arc.
