UPDATE: AC/DC release Phil Rudd arrest statement
The veteran rockers say it's full steam ahead with their album release and world tour.
AC/DC have issued a statement in relation to the arrest yesterday of their drummer Phil Rudd on charges of trying to procure two murders.
“We've only become aware of Phil's arrest as the news was breaking,” they say. “We have no further comment. Phil's absence will not affect the release of our new album, Rock Or Bust, and upcoming tour next year."
It’s worth noting that Rudd was a no-show on October 3 and 4 when the band shot the videos for their ‘Pay Ball’ and ‘Rock Hard’ singles - a “family emergency” was cited - and is also absent from their new promo pick.
So, it appears they’re still very much in the running for Slane 2015 headlining duties!
