U2 top touring rich list

Injured backs aside, it's been a pretty good year for the boys!

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 19 Jul 2010

U2 have grossed a cool $130 million from touring over the past year despite having to postpone 16 North American dates after Bono injured his back.

How much of that is profit though is a moot point, with The Claw costing around $750,000 a day to keep on the road.

Coming in behind them on the Forbes magazine Top Earning Musicians of 2010 list are AC/DC with $114m, Beyoncé with $87m and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band who could only manage a mere $70m.
