U2 to re-release 'The Joshua Tree'

US music trade paper Billboard reports that the album will be available as a remastered single CD, a double CD, a double CD and DVD collectible box and a double vinyl package.

It is expected that the extra discs will include alternate and demo versions of the album's tracks, while the DVD is said to include footage from a July 1987 show in Paris as well as the documentary Outside It's America. The band members have also written new liner notes for the re-release.
