U2 and Sinead feature on monster Amnesty box-set
Amnesty International has announced the early November release of a 2-CD, 6-DVD box-set celebrating 25-years of their Human Rights Now benefit gigs.
Heavy hitters on the monster collection include U2, The Police, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Sinéad O’Connor, Alana Morissette, Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, Joni Mitchell, Lou Reed and Peter Gabriel.
There’s a whopping 17-hours of music from the 28 awareness and fundraising concerts Amnesty have staged during that quarter-of-a-century.
Bono, Springsteen and Bono have all contributed fresh interviews while Gabriel has shared his home movies from the ’86 tour.
The clip below isn't from the box-set, but will give you an idea of the musical alchemy that occurs when Amnesty rolls into town!
