U2 Launch Collage Competition
They’ll be recreating the infamous Achtung Baby cover design with sixteen winning entries…
It’s been twenty years since the groundbreaking release of Achtung Baby, and to celebrate the milestone U2 have launched a competition to redesign the iconic cover artwork. Photographers, artists and graphic designers are invited to submit new ideas that reflect today’s global environment.
The band’s official designer, Shaughn McGrath, and photographer Anton Corbijn will choose fifteen winners. In the true spirit of new-world democracy, there will also be a ‘People’s Choice’ category for one more lucky artist.
The final collage will be featured on U2.com and winners will receive a copy of the artwork, a deluxe box-set, a digital camera and coverage across the band’s impressive social media platforms. In addition, one overall winner will receive a custom designed, original Achtung Baby styled Trabant car.
Submissions are open until January 23. For more information on how to enter, check out Talenthouse online.
