Tupelo to headline Whelan’s
The acoustic roots band will be in Whelan’s on September 8.
Formed in Dublin in 2008, Tupelo utilizes an eclectic range of instruments from banjos and fiddles to saxophones and the double bass.
The band, whose debut album Dirty Money comes out on September 9, have already got Imelda May’s seal of approval:
‘I’ve had the pleasure of working with Tupelo a great band from Dublin. They have a wonderful sound, great musicianship and fantastic songwriting. They have a rootsy sound of great mixtures from blues and country to trad.’
