Dublin acoustic roots band Tupelo have released a single and are doing a gig at the Village to support the campaign of parents and teachers at the Gaelscoil Bharra in Cabra.
The single is 'Ca Bhfuil Ar Scoil?' and was written by mainman John Cramer.
The children in Gaelscoil Bharra have had to endure primitive classroom conditions, including rats, for 14 years. Despite numerous empty promises by the Department of Education and the former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, nothing has been done to alleviate their circumstances.
Tupelo will play the Village on October 22. Admission is €10, and proceeds from the gig will also go to the school.
The single can be purchased via www.myspace.com/tupelomusicireland and www.downloadmusic.ie/tupelo as well as from iTunes store. Physical copies are available from Tower Records in Dublin. All proceeds from Tupelo’s single go to support the campaign.
