Townlands Carnival is returning to the picturesque grounds of the old Rusheen Farm Estate from July 21-23, 2017. The festival is also calling for applications from musicians and artists.
Set within the walled gardens of Rusheen Farm - with its ancient woodlands, valleys, miles of walks and lakes - Townlands Carnival is a three-day music festival with a focus on diverse performance and visual arts. 2016 brought together some of Ireland's most obscure and acclaimed musicians, including the likes of Jerry Fish (pictured above).
Now in its third year, Townlands Carnival has become synonymous with the exploration of cross genre acts and multimedia. 2017’s music bill is again guaranteed to be eclectic, lively and uplifting; celebrating up-and-coming acts alongside established international performers from all musical persuasions.
Townlands Carnival is also a family event with a children’s area; providing professional staff, entertainers, circus skills and makeshift workshops - a barrage of top activities to encourage the younger ones amongst us into the carnival spirit.
