They include a special Beatles Day live broadcast.
Tower Records has announced its latest batch of Wicklow Street instores.
Rocking them in the aisles, and by the cash registers, in September will be Bats (3 @ 5pm); Beatles Day broadcast with Newstalk 106FM’s Tom Dunne (9 @ 9am); Ran (10 @ 5pm); Saving J (11 @ 5pm); Pocket Promise (17 @ 5pm); Reemo (18 @ 5pm); and Codes (19 @ 1pm).
Beatles day is so named because that’s when all of the Fab Four’s back catalogue will be available for the first time in re-mastered CD form.
“The look of the albums has also been upgraded,” coos the promotional blurb. “The new non-plastic packages contain booklets packed with rarely seen photographs along with historical and recording notes. As an added bonus, each CD – except Past Masters – has a mini-documentary about the album for playback on a computer.”
