The celebrations are already underway with performances kicking off at noon, featuring sets from the likes of Declan O'Rourke and The Riptide Movement
While all the other Towers have fallen across the globe, the Dublin branches have remained and continue to provide not just the last remnants of an iconic brand, but also represent a platform for Irish bands aiming to make it big. Today (August 18) marks the 18th birthday of what has become a national institution of sorts, and like any stroppy teenager, it's going to make a lot of noise.
Dublin native Declan O'Rourke tops a bill that promises to live long in the memory. Michelle Doherty of Phantom 105.2 has already kicked things off with a live in-store broadcast of her Finest Workshops show. From there, Tower is set for a day of fantastic live music provided by no less than nine excellent acts.
The current running order is as follows:

2pm: Strypes
3pm: White Collar Boy
4pm: La Faro

And the party doesn't stop there. The after-party kicks off at 10pm with DJ sets from White Collar Boy, Spies and Hot Sprockets and is expected to run until 3am. Best of all, admission for the entire event is absolutely free. Sounds like the perfect way to ring in your 18th to us. Here's to 18 more!
