His cult Today FM show will sadly be no more after December 1
Disappointing news for fans of broadcaster Donal Dineen, and fans of music in general – the late night show, The Small Hours will finish on December 1.
Dineen has been a fixture at Today FM since the station's launch as Radio Ireland way back in March 1997 and during that time he has brought a touch of eclecticism and musical envelope-pushing to a fairly sterile radio scene. His absence on the airwaves will be keenly felt – we can only hope that he bounces back with a new venture before too long.
From Dineen himself: “I’m very grateful for all the time I've had doing the job I always dreamed of and I've enjoyed each minute of every programme over the past fifteen years.

“The response from the audience and the many music-makers who joined me in the studio has been a big reward in itself and I want to thank everybody for their valuable support and contributions. There'll always be more to come, to be continued...”
