The Whigs set for Dublin debut headliner next March
Their debut album is set for release at the end of January
Fresh from a well-received slot with Kings Of Leon at The O2, The Whigs have just announced details of their first ever headline Dublin date at The Academy. The garage rock band from Athens, Georgia (also a certain REM’s hometown) are touring in support of their latest studio release In The Dark, which will be available from the end of next month. Having drawn comparison to The Strokes, AC/DC and the aforementioned, all-conquering Kings, The Whigs could be ones to watch for the future.
Tickets for their Academy show on March 1 are priced at €20 including booking fee and go on sale on Thursday 23rd December.
