Things are heating up on The Voice Of Ireland as Bressie reacts to comments by Cian and Jamelia...
Sharon may be leading the charge with nine contestants already on team Corr, but it was Bressie who made the headlines on last nights show, as the former Blizzards frontman won a war-of-words involving himself, Kian and Jamelia to convince the stunning Kirilee McDermott to join his team.
Jamelia had reacted to Bressie's charm offensive towards Kirilee and accused him of using his good looks to win over the female contestants. Kian Egan also had a pop at Bressie, who in turn defended his industry credentials by saying "We can't all be put together by Louis Walsh."
Probably the story of the night though was that of Mark McLoughlin. Mark's father Jonathan had passed away just two days before the show was filmed, and on the instructions of his mother, delivered a heartfelt and emotional rendition of Tom Petty's 'Free Falling'. Kian and Sharon both turned, but Mark marches on to the battle stages with Sharon by his side.
The Corrs member also managed to convince acturial maths student Bob McQuaid to ditch Cian and join her team after falling in love with his deep vocal performance of 'You Don't Know Me'.
Not to be outdone this week, Jamelia outfoxed her fellow judges to get Tommy McNulty on her side. Tommy became the first contestant on The Voice to sing an original composition. His song 'Blue Skies' earned him praise from both Bressie and Sharon, but Tommy takes him place in Jamelia's squad.

It wasn't all handshakes and hugs though as Nigerian born Jennifer Fada Musa, Gina McNulty and former Popstars The Rivals finalist Peter Smyth all delivered decent efforts but failed to make any judges hit that button on the night.
The final contestant of the evening was Niamh Armstrong. Niamh comes from a musical family, her dad sings and her brother is Andrew Strong of The Commitments fame. Niamh managed to convince her favourite coach Jamelia to turn with a soulful rendition of 'I Wish I Knew How It Feels To Be Free'.
So after four weeks of The Voice, Sharon leads the way with nine contestants. Bressie, Cian and Jamelia are all only one behind with squads of eight.
