The Hot Press Newsdesk, 17 Jun 2008

The Dublin group are in with a chance of appearing at the massive Heineken Benicassim Music Festival in Spain this year, which runs between July 17-20.

Fans can vote to send the band to Spain where they'll play alongside the likes of Leonard Cohen, Morrissey and My Bloody Valentine.

The vote, run by Supajam.com, pits the indie foursome against 29 other artists, each of whom sent in tracks which were picked from thousands of entries.

To help send the lads to Spain, rate their 'Bite The Bullet' track at www.supajam.com/contests/fasttrack/home.html (you'll need to register, but it's free).

Voting is open till this Friday (June 20), after which the top five acts will battle it out live in The Pigalle Club in London on July 1.

Spanish hopes aside, The Kinetiks plan to work the summer circuit with shows at Oxegen (July 11), Indie-Pendence (August 1), and Le Cheile (August 3), along with smaller nationwide dates.
