The Jimmy Cake & Jape ready new albums
It’s been a long time coming, but next month finds The Jimmy Cake releasing the follow up to 2002’s Dublin Gone. Everybody Dead.
Tastefully housed in an Atsushi Kaga-designed sleeve (pictured), Spectre & Crown includes the six-and-a-half-minutes epic ‘Jetta’s Palace’.
Also readying a new album are Jape whose Ritual is out on May 12 and features ‘Christopher And Anthony’, ‘I Was A Man’, ‘Replays’, ‘Graveyard’, ‘Phil Lynott’, ‘Streetwise’, ‘At The Heart Of All This Strangeness’, ‘Apple In An Orchard’, ‘Strike Me Down’ and ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’.
Having been signed and dropped by V2 in record quick time, Richie Egan is now allied to the Co-Op group of labels, which includes Bella Union, City Slang, Memphis Industries and Wichita.
