Beginning in November and taking them to four different locations across Ireland, The Altered Hours are ready to head off on tour following the release of their debut album In Heat Not Sorry.
Following their work with composer Fabien Leseure for the Sweet Jelly Roll EP, plans for a full-length album had been in the works for a long time. With a view to capturing the band’s intense live energy the group travelled to Berlin in 2014 and spent three weeks exploring, experimenting and recording with Leseure at the controls.
Now, having recently completed a European tour, storming the Body & Soul stage at Electric Picnic, and getting their album repressed on vinyl, the band are set to go on tour across Ireland.
Known for their captivating live shows, the Cork band will bring their music to Belfast, Limerick and Cork this November/December, before finishing off their tour in Dublin's Grand Social.
Speaking to Hot Press last month, the band indicated that their live shows would take on a mix of newer and older songs. “It’s really going to be 50/50,” says lead singer Cathal.“We’ve toured with a lot of our older songs before so we’re going to try to get something new in there too.”
