The Round Room in the Mansion House was the venue today for the launch of the TV3 Autumn Schedule, which includes such new home-produced shows as Gogglebox, Paramedics, The Lie, The Joy, The Lazy Chef, Ireland’s Oyster Clan, Prison Families, There’s Something About Amanda, Islanders and A TD In My House.
Elsewhere, Brian Dowling hosts a new game show, Sitting On A Fortune; a film about the Irish banking crisis, Guarantee, gets its TV premiere in November following a limited cinematic release; Anton Savage is departing Ireland AM to present his own primetime Get The Numbers Write show; former TMZ man Peter O’Riordan joins the Xposé team, and Lucy Kennedy will front their Blind Date reboot.
While not hitting screens until January when TV3 loses Emmerdale and Coronation Street to their new Irish rivals, Jane McGrath who’s appeared in Quirke and Game Of Thrones and Irish Film Academy graduate Adam Weafer were unveiled as two of the stars of new soap Red Rock, which is set in a fictional harbour town and will result in the creation of over 100 jobs.
