Sweet Savage to support Metallica at Marlay Park
Belfast heavy metal legends Sweet Savage have reformed and will play support to Metallica in the Marlay Park this August.
As Metallica diehards will be aware, Sweet Savage were a huge influence on the boys in their pre-Kill ‘Em All days, and earned a handy few quid in 1991 when James Hetfield & Co. covered their trademark tune, ‘Killing Time’.
They also launched the career of Vivian Campbell who, after a spell with Whitesnake, is currently a member of Def Leppard.
The remaining members will be plugging Eye Of The Storm – The Early Years, a double vinyl ‘Best Of’ which is limited to just 500 copies – 250 of them on patriotic green vinyl.
