Strokes postpone The Point date

Strokes fan are going to have be patient with the New Yorkers putting their sold-out Point Theatre show back.

They'll now be playing the Dublin venue on February 20, but tickets for the original January 20 date remain valid.

The quartet will be plugging the bejaysus out of First Impressions Of Earth, their third album which features ‘You Only Live Once’, ‘Juicebox’, ‘Heart In A Cage’, ‘Razor Blade’, ‘On The Other Side’, ‘Vision Of Division’, ‘Ask Me Anything’, ‘Electricityscape’, ‘Killing Lies’, ‘Fear Of Sleep’, ’15 Minutes’, ‘Ize Of The World’, ‘Evening Sun’ and ‘Red Light’.

How does it sound? Well, opinions at HP Towers range from “a major disappointment” to “the dog’s proverbials!”

The final verdict will be delivered on January 12 when Hot Press’ first issue of 2006 hits the newsstands.
