Soul Workers Session for Sugar Club

The night will feature spoken word, roots, reggae, soul, American folk and hip hop...

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 26 Apr 2012

The Soul Workers Session takes place in Dublin's Sugar Club on May 3.

The night is part of Domestic Workers Action Week (May 1-7), a series of events which aim to draw attention to the experiences of migrant women living and working in private homes in Ireland.

The project will use music to highlight experiences of discrimination, exploitation and celebration. Set to perform are The Barley Mob, Ciara Sidine, Easy Buoy and The Tommy More Band, with proceedings kicking off at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced €12, are available from the Sugar Club, with all proceeds going to the Migrants Rights Centre Ireland (MRCI).
