Si Schroeder to play support at Crawdaddy
Si Schroeder is to support DeVotchKa at Dublin's Crawdaddy this Friday.
The 2007 Choice Music Award Nominee is to play support to gypsy-punkers DeVotchKa at the Harcourt Street Venue.
Schroeder is taking a break from recording the follow-up to Choice Music-nominated Trust Me I'm A Thief, and the performance comes ahead of a set at Electric Picnic.
Headliners DeVotchKa meld roots, folk and punk into a whole reminiscent of Gogol Bordello. Their unique sound has attracted the attention of Belle & Sebastian, Calexico and The Dresden Dolls - with whom they have toured as a support act. Their Grammy-nominated song 'How It Ends' also featured in Elijah Wood's film Everything Is Illuminated and the sleeper hit Little Miss Sunshine.
Tickets are priced at €15/€20, and are available from Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.ie), Road Records, City Discs, Sound Cellar and all usual outlets.
