Fresh from a stomping set with the Pogues at Oxegen on Sunday, Shane MacGowan has announced he will perform next weekend's Analog Music Festival.
The 50-year-old musician, poet and rebel has just been confirmed for the Rogue's Gallery, following an emotional performance in the Green Room at Oxegen yesterday (July 13). The show was the Pogues' first festival performance on home ground in 17 years.
Hal Willner's Rogue's Gallery will see the maverick producer re-interpret pirate ballads, sea songs and shanties with the help of Lou Reed, Oscar winning actor Tim Robbins, Gavin Friday and Divine Comedy frontman Neil Hannon.
Also on the bill for next Friday night's show, which takes place in Grand Canal Square in Docklands, are Guggi and Dave Id Busarus, Martin Carthy, Norma Waterson and Eliza Carthy.
