Sarah McQuaid plots Irish tour this April

It's in support of new album The Plum Tree And The Rose.

With her third LP recently released and charting well across Europe, Sarah McQuaid has announced her plans to play Ireland (both North and South) this April.

The tour kicks off at An Creagan in Omagh on Thursday April 19 and wraps up with a show in The Blackbird, Cork, on April 29. Her official album launch will take place in Whelan's on Saturday April 21.

Full details of her ten-date jaunt are below.

The Irish American (born in Madrid, raised in Chicago and a mainstay of Ireland's arts scene in the '90s) is a startling performer and on the evidence of The Plum Tree And The Rose has some fantastic new material to wow crowds with this spring.

Sat 21 April - Whelan's, Wexford Street, Dublin

(Sarah will also be giving a guitar workshop at 2:30pm at Walton’s New School of Music)

Mon 23 April - The Village Arts Centre, The Square, Kilworth, Co. Cork

Tue 24 April - The Local, 10 Grattan Square, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford

Wed 25 April - The Market House, Market Street, Monaghan Town

Thurs 26 April - Roots Fifty Six, The Fifty Six, Main Street, Arklow, Co. Wicklow

Fri 27 April - Crusoe's Coffee Shop -- First Floor, 29 Sea Road, Castlerock

Sat 28 April - New Music Club @ Moran’s Bar, 7 Parnell Street, Clonmel, Co Tipperary

Sun 29 April - The Blackbird, Main Street, Ballycotton, Co. Cork
