The results will likely feature on the band's upcoming second album, which will also feature Ed Sheeran, George Clinton and more.
Mercury-nominated British dance outfit Rudimental have been recording with Steely Dan frontman Donald Fagen, Hot Press can exclusively reveal.
The London four piece were in New York recently and hooked up with Fagen, best known for sardonic ’70s hits such as ‘Reelin’ In The Years’ and ‘Rikki Don’t Lose That Number’.
“We were nervous – Steely Dan have a reputation for being pretty hardcore in the studio back into day,” the band’s Amir Amor told HP. “With someone like that, you never know how it will go. They might be there one day, not turn up the next. Fortunately, Donald Fagen came back. He was very enthusiastic – we were surprised at how engaged he was with electronic music.”
