She is the first female solo artist to have five number one singles in consecutive years
Some UK singles chart history has been made this week as Rihanna's 'What's My Name' bumped X Factor winner Matt Cardle's 'When We Collide' off the top spot.
The Barbadian R&B star's pole position makes her the first female artist to achieve five number one singles year-on-year with only Elvis Presley equalling her record.
It's good news all round for Rihanna as her new LP Loud remains at the summit of the UK album chart.
Plan B takes the second spot on the album chart. His soul reinvention on The Defamation Of Strickland Banks has proved very successful - the album has now spent 39 weeks on the chart. Plan B's gain is everyone's favourite boy band's loss - Take That's Progress drops to No. 3.

Cee Lo Green's The Lady Killer jumps nine spaces to No. 4, no doubt spurred on by the success of politely renamed 'Forget You', while Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More completes the top five.
